Ministry Assistant Emily Deu

Emily Deu was born in Midlothian, Illinois, and moved to Wisconsin when she was 10. She started going on missions trips when she was 14 and couldn’t stop after that. In high school she made it to countries such as Ecuador, Hong Kong, China and Mexico. Upon graduation she went to Vancouver, Canada, to work with YWAM, or Youth With A Mission, where she spent the next five years. During her time with YWAM she staffed Discipleship Training Schools teaching Bible studies, small groups, intercession and taking teams overseas to countries such as Morocco, the UK, Spain, and Uzbekistan. She also worked on creative teams to organize conferences, and choreograph dances for outreaches. Emily and Josh, her husband of two years, have been attending Altaer since August when they moved to Los Angeles. Emily is currently attending SMC working towards a degree in Photo Journalism.
