Lead Pastor Brad Bailey
A native to the West L.A. area, Pastor Brad graduated from Pacific Palisades High School and San Diego State University. After coming to know Christ during rebellious teenage years, he began ministering to the local youth and surfing community, as well as providing an "open house" ministry to those in need. Following graduation, he accepted a call to join Christian Associates in the development of a church plant for the international community of Geneva, Switzerland. He then moved to India where he had the opportunity to live and minister in various communities and training centers. Brad returned to Southern California to attend Fuller Theological Seminary where he completed a Masters of Divinity in Theology and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. Having enjoyed becoming a part of the Vineyard Westside, in 1987 he joined the pastoral staff and in 1991 accepted the position of Senior Pastor. With a unique background as both a “converted rebel” and therapist (licensed M.F.C.C.), Brad leads the church with a passion for both the radical truth and radical love discovered in knowing Christ. A partner in both marriage and ministry, Leah was also born and raised on the Westside. Along with her support of Brad and involvement in the Ministry, she enjoys a career as a nurse in oncology (cancer) at UCLA. They have four children—Travis, Jackson, Cate and Cole. Together they enjoy raising this “posse,” weekly date nights, and a good cup of coffee.
